چکیده

We deal with the propagation of broadband Schell-model sources in nonlinear media with finite relaxation time. The approach is based on a study of the Wigner distribution function and on a separation of scales technique between the microscopic random fluctuations of the field and the macroscopic intensity profile. The regime in which the nonlinearity is strong and slow is considered. Precise results are obtained for the smalland large-scale characteristics of the pulse: optical intensity profile, speckle radius, and typical intensity profile of the speckle spots. © 2003 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: 030.6600, 190.3270, 030.0030.

Temporal convergence analysis of a locally implicit discontinuous Galerkin time domain method for electromagnetic wave propagation in dispersive media

This paper is concerned with the approximation of the time domain Maxwell equations in a dispersive propagation medium by a Discontinuous Galerkin Time Domain (DGTD) method. The Debye model is used to describe the dispersive behaviour of the medium. We adapt the locally implicit time integration method from [1] and derive a convergence analysis to prove that the locally implicit DGTD method for...

Low Field Regime for the Relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell-Fokker-Planck System; the One and One Half Dimensional Case

We study the asymptotic regime for the relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell-FokkerPlanck system which corresponds to a mean free path small compared to the Debye length, chosen as an observation length scale, combined to a large thermal velocity assumption. We are led to a convection-diffusion equation, where the convection velocity is obtained by solving a Poisson equation. The analysis is performed in...

Dynamical model of coherent circularly polarized optical pulse interactions with two-level quantum systems

We propose and develop a method for theoretical description of circularly elliptically polarized optical pulse resonant coherent interactions with two-level atoms. The method is based on the time-evolution equations of a two-level quantum system in the presence of a time-dependent dipole perturbation for electric dipole transitions between states with total angular-momentum projection differenc...

Study on the Interaction of Dioxovanadium(V) with Nitrilotriacetic Acid at Different Ionic Strengths by Using Extended Debye-Hiickel Equation

In this research complexation of dioxovanadium(V) with nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) at differentionic strengths (0.1 to 1.0 mol dm-3) of sodium perchlorate as supporting electrolyte and pH rangeof 1.00-2.50 at 25 °C has been investigated by a combination of potentiometric and UVspectrophotometric measurements. Stability constants of two species, V0211L- and VO2H2L havebeen calculated. Ionic stre...
